Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the core function of your role is to assist in the maintenance and repair our company-owned fleet of prime movers, trailers and materials handling equipment.
Some of the responsibilities of this role will be, but not limited to:
•Test and adjust units to specifications to locate faults and malfunctions
•Servicing of units including Grease Ups
•Repair or replace mechanical units or components
•Review work order and discuss work with supervisor
•Welding work as required
To be successful you will possess the following:
•Trailer mechanic specific skills
•Experience and understanding of adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of commercial transport trailer systems.
•Able to work independently and with little supervision using your intuitive to complete tasks correctly and effectively, and
•Excellent written, interpersonal; and communication skills.
You must be medically fit, have reliable transport, be able to pass a medical and drug test, and provide checkable references.
This is a full time position, 7am start. Overtime and weekend work may be required.
